“Keep it Clean”- by Khimji’s Mart in Bahla

Khimjis Mart – the largest supermarket chain in the Sultanate facilitated a cleaning campaign named “Keep it Clean” at Bahla on 23rd April, 09. The program was arranged in association with the Bahla Municipality.
Mr.Abdullah Mohammed Suleiman Al Hadhraimi and Ali Bin Salem Al Muzahimi from the Bahla Municipality led the campaign.
As a part of their regular eco-friendly social objectives, around 25 of our Khimji’s Mart employees joined hands with the local bodies’ representatives in Bahla to keep the locality clean.
Khimji’s Mart has a large presence not only in the capital, but in 9 wilayats across the country.

| Practice sessions for the race begin on Friday, with qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday April 26.
Last weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai had a disappointing outcome for Oris’ motor sport partner AT&T Williams. So how do the two drivers feel ahead of the race on Sunday? Kazuki Nakajima: “Shanghai was difficult. We had a good de-brief afterwards and hopefully we can keep up the pace we have and translate that into something good this weekend.” And what do they think about Bahrain International Circuit? Kazuki Nakajima: “I didn’t have a great weekend in Bahrain last year and found it difficult to get used to the track I’m more positive going there this year so hopefully it will be a different story. Italian Kisses
21 04 2009An Excellent Replacement for Dessert at the end of the Meal.
1 large Glass – preparation time -10 mins
2 espressos , 1 dash of amaretto syrup, 1 dash of chocolate sauce, 1 dash of almond syrup, 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream, 10 cl of whipped cream, 1 tsp of cocoa powder, Ice cubes
1. Whip the cream, which must be very cold, with an electric mixer,. delicately add the cocoa powder.
2. Pour the two espressos with syrups, sauce and ice cream into a shaker. Add a few ice cubes and shake hard.
3. Pour the mixture into a large glass and top it with cocoa whipped cream.

A whole new range of 10 Saute Pastas launched – live stations set up in 8 Pizza Huts (6 in Muscat – Al Khod, MBD, Qurum, Al Khuwair, MQ, Ghala – Salalah, Sohar) manned by chefs trained to make yummy pastas, and special 3 types of baked pastas for delivery and take away only, called TUSCANI Pasta. The family size offering of Tuscani alogwith 4 pieces of garlic bread and one 2.5 litre beverage is good enough for a meal for a family of 3/4.
The 10 pasta options will be made from any of these six different pastas: Fusilli, Penne, Linguini, Fettuccine, Spaghetti and Tortellini. Fusilli, meaning “little spindles” in Italian, is small thick corkscrew-shaped pasta. Penne is cylindrical-shaped with ridged surface and diagonal ends. Linguini means “little tongue” and is flat but narrow like Spaghetti. Fettuccine means “little ribbons” and is flat and thick; it is very popular in Rome. Spaghetti is long, thin and cylindrical and a variety of pasta dishes are based on it. Tortellini is ring-shaped and is usually stuffed with meat or spinach. These come in three different sauce bases, namely tomato, Afredo and olive-based sauces.
Sautéed Pastas for dine-in connoisseurs
The sautéed pastas will be available in 10 different options, namely Sausage Penne, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Chicken Spinach Tortellini, Creamy Tomato Penne, Spicy Shrimp Linguini, Fettuccine Alfredo, Creamy Chicken Mushroom, Seafood Fusilli, Italian Chicken Linguini and Mediterranean Shrimp Spaghetti.
The sautéed pastas are very reasonably priced and can be had for as low as RO 2.200 to RO 3.300.
Baked Pastas for those who prefer home-delivery and take-away
Pizza Hut is also launching three family-sized Tuscani pastas to enable families to share the good times together. Families can also have these pastas delivered to their home or can come and take away the pasta of their choice. The Tuscani pastas are available in three variants, Chicken Alfredo, Meaty Marinara and Roasted Vegetables, and come with 4 pieces of garlic bread and a 2.5 litre beverage for RO 4.500 only

Stars celebrate Spirit Awards with Piaget

Hollywood’s best and brightest joined Piaget to celebrate the 24th Annual Spirit Awards in santa Monica CA.
The runaway star of the afternoon’s casual ceremony at the beach was clearly Mickey Rourke, who accepted his Best male Lead award wearing a Piaget Polo timepiece in white gold and diamonds.
Anne Hathaway dazzled the A-list crowd in her Piaget Limelight collection earrings and rings. the other leading ladies whose Piaget jewels to complete their red carpet looks were Jessica Alba, Terri Hatcher, Mena Suvari, Andie MacDowell, Misty Upham and Rachelle Lefevre.
A highlight of the festivities was the presentation of the Piaget Producers Award to Heather Rae – who also wore Piaget- for her outstanding production of the crtically acclaimed Frozen River.
